Film Iron Man 3 berkisah perihal sosok pengusaha brilian
yang bernama Tony Stark ( Robert Downey Jr ) yang saat ini menghadapi musuh
yang amat keji bernama The Mandarin yang diperankan oleh Ben Kingsley. Sosok
The Mandarin ini tampak menggunakan jubah dengan tato serupa gambar perisai
Kapten America di lehernya.
Waktu ada di tempat tinggal mewahnya yang ada diatas bukit
di laut, Tony Stark serta Pepper ( Gwyneth Paltrow ) terserang oleh sebanyak
helikopter yang menembakkan misil ke arah tempat tinggal tersebut. Dengan
secepat kilat Tony menggunakan baju besinya, walau selanjutnya tempat tinggal
tersebut hancur serta tercebur ke didalam laut berbarengan dirinya.
